Hear about how resilient Richmond upon Thames is to the changing climate

On Wednesday 14 October, join us for a special Richmond Sustainability Forum exploring what climate resilience means for our borough and local communities.

You will hear about the current and future picture in Richmond, our borough's greatest risks and challenges and from many of the partners and services working collectively to build our resilience to flooding, drought, extreme heat and weather.

This free event will begin at 5pm with information stalls, discussion and networking. The main forum will start at 5.30pm, with presentations followed by opportunities to share views and put questions to speakers.

David Shukman, former BBC Science Editor and author of The Response, will join us as our special guest speaker. Drawing on decades of reporting on climate change around the world, David will bring a wide-ranging perspective on the urgent challenges of a changing climate, as well as the practical and hopeful ways communities can respond.

Come along to learn about how we’re building greener, cooler neighbourhoods, protecting wildlife and preparing for extreme weather. Hear about the support, resources and projects available locally and discover how you can get involved.
