Celebrate the heart of your community as Your Community Centre Week returns this September
4 September 2026
Residents are invited to discover the range of activities, services and support available at their local community centres as Your Community Centre Week returns to Richmond upon Thames from 21 to 27 September.
The week-long celebration will shine a spotlight on the borough's community centres and the important role they play in bringing people together. Residents of all ages are encouraged to visit their local centre, meet the people behind the scenes and explore the wide range of opportunities on offer.
Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn a new skill, stay active, access support services or get more involved in your local area, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The week is an opportunity to learn more about the borough's 10 community centres, located in Richmond, Barnes, Teddington, East Twickenham, Hampton Hill, Kew, Hampton, Mortlake and Whitton.
Community centres provide welcoming spaces where residents can connect with others, take part in local activities and access support and advice. They are at the heart of neighbourhood life, helping to foster stronger, more connected communities.
Residents are encouraged to visit their local centre during the week, try something new and celebrate the valuable contribution these spaces make across the borough.
