These Counselling Skills courses, which are open to both students at Richmond and the general public and will be available online from September 2023, have been designed to provide an introduction to counselling theory, helping skills and the ethics of safely helping others through talking therapy. These courses are designed to provide students with a Level 1 (May to July) and Level 2 training (January–July), which will provide a useful stepping stone for qualification as a counsellor in the UK (if students wish to progress), which can be achieved with a Level 4 Diploma. Level 3 training is also now available and is suitable for those progressing from level 2 or have suitable experience in a particular field e.g HR.
