Sales to children
Underage sales
There are many goods that cannot be sold to young people of particular ages. These include alcohol, cigarettes, spray paints, videos and computer games, knives, solvents, fireworks and lottery tickets. Trading Standards has a duty to enforce the legislation that restricts the sale of these products.
Reporting underage sales
If you are aware of any shops that breach these age requirements then please contact Trading Standards.
