About the plot
We provide flower containers in certain areas that are for use by all. (No other flower vases, pot plants or memorialisation is permitted.) The responsibility for maintaining the memorial is that of the owner, although little maintenance is required for this memorial type. To keep the memorial clean, you will just need to wash it occasionally with clean water.
Memorials
You should purchase the memorial from a mason of your choice, and the cemeteries staff can advise you on this. The memorial plaque is made of red polished granite. You may use the entire face of the memorial for the inscription, or leave room for a second inscription. The mason will advise you as to how long it will take for the memorial to be made. Once the memorial has been inscribed, the burial of cremated remains can take place and the memorial unit can be secured. Alternatively, you can have the burial in the unit before the memorial is ready. Your mason would then place the memorial on the unit and let you know when it is in place.
