School uniform grants
We no longer offer grants for school uniform. There are other organisations that can help if you are unable to meet the cost of your child’s uniform.
School responsibilities
By law, your school must follow guidance on the cost of school uniforms which includes making sure they're affordable.
They should limit the number of branded items and make sure parents can buy uniform second hand.
Visit Gov.uk for more information on school uniform including uniform policies and how to complain.
Help from your school
If you can’t afford school uniform or PE kit, contact the headteacher to see if the school can offer any support.

If your school cannot help you, there are other ways in which you can access financial support.
