We have worked with our partners to launch the ‘Safe Space Richmond’ initiative in Richmond town centre to provide a safe space for women and girls, or anyone who is feeling vulnerable.

The initiative is a joint venture between our Community Safety Service, Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Teams, South Western Railway Rail Community Officers, Safer Neighbourhood Board, Shepherd's Star and Street Pastors. It runs every Saturday night from 8pm until 11pm.

Richmond upon Thames is one of London’s safest boroughs and currently experiences the lowest number of crimes per 1,000 people. However, the Safe Space in one of the borough’s busiest areas at night is designed to help people feel more at ease when enjoying the night-time economy.

Find it:

  • Days: Saturdays
  • Time: 8 to 11pm
  • Location: The green marquee outside Richmond train station
