Barnes Common is a peaceful area of open acid grassland, trees and woodland and is designated a statutory Local Nature Reserve.
About the park
Managed by Barnes Common Limited, the area is an excellent place to see Green Woodpeckers, as well as the white-flowered Burnet Rose.
There is a cricket pitch and a football pitch that are used by local teams.
Visiting the park
Barnes Common is accessible at all times. Car parking in the area is limited, so it is advisable to walk or use public transport.
The nearest train station is Barnes, and the area is served by bus routes 33, 72, 265 and 969.
