King Georges Field

TakingĀ its name from the King George V Trust, which made funds available for local authorities to purchase land for use as sports fields in the 1930s, this park is used for a number of sports throughout the year.

About the park

Facilities include:

  • Changing rooms
  • Two cricket pitches
  • Three full-sized football pitches
  • Four tennis courts

Skate park

As of 29 March, the skate park has reopened in line with Government guidance. We have published guidance for users (pdf, 460 KB).

Visiting the park

King Georges Field is accessible at all times. The nearest train stations are Kingston and Richmond, and the area is also served by the bus route 371.

Public Space Protection Orders and byelaws

All council-managed parks and open spaces are covered by Public Space Protection Orders and formalĀ byelaws, to help us reduce antisocial behaviour and breaches of dog control orders.
