Oak Avenue Local Nature Reserve

Oak Avenue is a Local Nature Reserve which has a rich variety of habitats consisting of woodland and scrubland located around the boundary edges. 

About the park

There is a seasonal pond which is dry during the summer months, and a colourful display of wildflowers which produce nectar and pollen for local wildlife.

Paths connect Oak Avenue with Hatherop Park to the south west and Hampton Common, which is popular with horse riders, to the east. 

Visiting the park

Oak Avenue Local Nature Reserve is accessible at all times. There is access to the site from outside Forge Lane School and from Oak Avenue.

Hampton or Kempton Park stations are nearby, and the area is served by bus route R70.

Public Space Protection Orders and byelaws

All council-managed parks and open spaces are covered by Public Space Protection Orders and formal byelaws, to help us reduce antisocial behaviour and breaches of dog control orders.
