Terrace Gardens is a formal garden that overlooks the River Thames, famous for seasonal bedding, shrubberies, rockery and rose garden, all set amongst fine trees and sloping lawns.
About the park
By the balustrade seating area on the top terrace is a formal pool with its modern statue of Aphrodite (affectionately known as Bulbous Betty). Other historical sights include an ice house set in the slope to the rear of the thatched summer house.
There is a café in the gardens which is open 7 days a week during daylight hours.
Visiting the park
Terrace Gardens are accessible at all times. Richmond station is nearby, as are bus routes 65 and 371.
