London Planning
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is commencing a new housing capacity study known as the London Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA), to inform the next London Plan.
The SHLAA identifies sites with potential for housing, considering their capacity and assessing when they are likely to be developed.
Call for sites
A key step in producing the SHLAA is undertaking a call for sites to identify sites that could be suitable for new housing projects.
The GLA launched the 2024 call for sites on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
Who can submit
Landowners, developers, consultants, and members of the public may submit potential housing sites for consideration as part of the SHLAA until 30 November 2024.
