Statement of community involvement

Our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the Council involves local communities in developing planning policies and in connection with planning applications. It covers who will be consulted, when local communities will be involved, and which methods will be used. It reflects the Council's commitment to community engagement and forms part of the Council's strategy to create innovative ways to enter into meaningful dialogue with residents, recognising that engagement should be tailored to suit the borough's communities and to reach those who are less heard than others.

The latest SCI came into effect on Tuesday 3 December 2019 following public consultation.
