About the strategy
The Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy builds on the achievements and aspirations of the Health and Wellbeing Board to date, and highlights the Board’s continuing commitment to joined-up services. The refreshed strategy widens its reach by championing approaches to help prevent, reduce, or delay residents’ need for care.
The strategy is split into three main chapters:
- Start Well - supporting the best start in life for children, young people and their families and carers
- Live Well - community and environmental approaches to support healthy choices
- Age Well - enabling older residents to stay well, live independently and remain connected to their communities
