Counties Estate parking review

Between May and August 2023 we implemented new lengths of double yellow lines in the Counties Estate area.

Background

The double yellow lines were implemented to improve road and personal safety in the area, ensuring better access for all vehicles, including emergency services. At the same time, all footway parking markings were refreshed.

Implementation

The double yellow lines were implemented by way of Experimental Traffic Management Orders. Representations to these double yellow lines were invited within six months of the start date of the double yellow lines.

Consultation

To take account of modifications made to the parking bay layout, the formal consultation period commenced on 4 September 2023 and ended on 8 March 2024.

Results and decision

All representations to the proposals have been considered and the decision has been made to make the double yellow lines permanent.
