Kew Controlled Parking Zones review
Since 2024, we have been reviewing all Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) in Kew.
Background
To date, part of this review has involved consultation with all properties on how the CPZ in their area of Kew is currently working and whether any changes are needed.
In addition, following the submission of a petition from some residents of Kew Road, proposals to make changes to the zone boundary with adjacent Zone KC and to introduce a small zone (Zone KD) in Kew Road were put to residents of that area.

The consultations commenced in August 2024 and ended on Sunday 29 September 2024.
Results of consultations
The results of the consultations were reported to the Council’s Transport and Air Quality Committee on Monday 3 February 2025.
The Committee agreed the officer recommendations contained within the report which are:
- That the operational hours of the Kew Road permit parking bays be extended to 10pm and monitored/reviewed as described in paragraph 7.27 of the report
- That the Zone KC Event Zone continues to operate for when events are held in the area as described in paragraph 7.39 of the report
- That no other specific changes in zone boundaries, operational hours/days of Zones KA, KB and KC be agreed at this time but that officers develop a number of operational changes/improvements to the zones through further discussions with the ward councillors as described in paragraph 7.40 of the report through delegated powers
- That all properties within the consultation boundary are informed of the decision, and the Council’s website updated
