Cycling reports
Details of reports we have commissioned to improve cycling provisions and safety in the borough.
Duke's Head Passage
The Royal Parks closed Duke’s Head Passage to cyclists in May 2016 after park managers raised concerns about the behaviour of some cyclists and having been made aware of near misses with other park users.
We commissioned the walking and cycling charity Sustrans to produce an independent report on the route, in collaboration with The Royal Parks.
This report sets out the findings of the study and makes recommendations on a range of potential interventions which might be made to the path to improve the quality for all users.
Following these recommendations, the route was reopened to cyclists with signage advising that it is a pedestrian priority area.
