Leisure transfer to Greenwich Leisure Limited

On 17 June 2025, the Environment, Sustainability, Culture & Sports Committee agreed to award a contract to Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) to operate Pools on the Park and Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre. This will be in place from 1 October 2025. 

To ensure a smooth transition from the existing provider and continuity of service, the personal data of users of the facilities and any active Direct Debit arrangements will be securely shared with GLL on Wednesday 10 September 2025. The transfer of data will be made in accordance with Data Protection requirements and solely for the purpose of continuing your use of leisure services without disruption.  

Please be assured that this change will not affect the services you receive. 

Information regarding programming, bookings and facilities will be shared with customers in due course.  

Direct Debit members

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is a contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to terminate your Direct Debit membership.

Do I need to cancel my Direct Debit?

No, GLL will be in contact with further information regarding your Direct Debit.

Will my terms and conditions change?

GLL will be in contact with any amendments to the terms and conditions.

Will my membership price change?

Your membership price will not change. Any future price adjustments will be communicated separately.

Will the date of my Direct Debit change?

GLL will be in contact with any Direct Debit changes. 

Annual members

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is a contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to terminate your Annual membership.

If I wish to cancel my membership, will I receive a refund?

Our annual memberships are non-refundable.

GLL will be in contact with any amendments to the terms and conditions.

Leisure subscription users

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is a contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to terminate your leisure subscription.

Pay as you go users

Your data will not be shared with GLL, and you will be able to register with GLL from 1 October.

Swim School

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is a contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to leave the Swim School.

Swim Pass users 

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to terminate your Swim Pass. 

Hydro Pool users

Can I opt out of my data being transferred?

As the transfer of your data is necessary to continue delivering the services outlined in your contract with us, the legal basis for this transfer is contractual necessity, which means you cannot opt out of the transfer unless you choose to stop using the Hydro Pool.
