Rent subsidy review

The Council has a number of owned and leased properties which are occupied by local voluntary organisations, some of whom are allowed a subsidy on their rent.  

Cabinet considered a report in September 2011 which outlined our approach to the rent subsidy arrangements and support for organisations that occupy Council premises.

We are taking a risk based approach to implementing the rent subsidy changes for each organisation. This takes into account their individual circumstances. Transitional funding is available for organisations affected by the review. Each organisation is being contacted individually with updates about how the review might affect them.
