Donate, sell, share and repair
Early waste collection during heatwave conditions
Due to the hot weather, waste collection will start at 5am this week (23 to 26 June) to avoid crews working in the hottest part of the day.
Please make sure your bins are out by 5am on your usual collection day - put them out the night before if easier. Report missed collections as usual, and we'll aim to collect as soon as possible.
If you no longer need or want an item, it can be repaired, reused or shared to help the community and reduce waste. This could help you avoid bulky waste collection charges.
Sell or give away your items
If you think someone else might want your items, don’t dump them. You can:
- Sell them - for example, by using Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace
- Give them away - Richmond Freegle, for example, lets local residents exchange unwanted items free of charge
If you're a business
