A battery / charger kit that can be optionally equipped for use in the event of a power cut on V64 and S10 model stair lifts.

Hazard
The optional battery / charger kit installed on some V64 and S10 Vimec stairlifts has been recalled as it presents a risk of fire. It has been identified that the Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) can overheat and allow the charger to burn.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action
Vimec have contacted end users and distributors directly to inform them of the issues identified and the recall.
