The following notice has been issued by the Food Standards Agency.

The Real Wrap Company Ltd is taking the precautionary action of recalling ready-to-eat products including sandwiches, paninis, rolls, toasties and wraps because of the possible presence of listeria monocytogenes. This recall only affects products sold at retail stores in health care settings.

Risk statement
The possible presence of listeria in the products listed above.

Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.

Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including older people, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

Action taken by the company
The Real Wrap Company is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.

Our advice to consumers
If you have bought any of the above products from health care settings, do not eat it. Instead, return it to where it was bought for a refund. For further information, please contact the Real Wrap Company at enquiries@realwrap.co.uk.
