Hazard
The products present a serious risk of injuries as the safety features designed to protect the user's hands when collapsing the ladders may fail during use. The ladders tested could not support a sufficient load before failing and collapsing, which could cause the user to fall from a height. Additionally, the ladders over 3M did not include a stabiliser, such as a bar at the base, to widen it meaning it is unstable during use and could cause the user to fall.

The products also required improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.

The products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.

The listings have been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
