Repair Week 2025: Give your items a second life
28 February 2025
We’re celebrating Repair Week with a full line-up of local workshops, repair cafes, and skill-sharing sessions to help you save money, reduce waste, and fall back in love with your stuff instead of throwing it away!
Repair Week, taking place from 3 to 9 March, is a London-wide celebration designed to give you the confidence to get repairing. Grab your old items from the back of the cupboard and learn how to breathe new life into them at both regular and one-off sessions happening around the borough.
We’re busy exploring the best ways to help residents repair, share and reuse items regularly and conveniently. Tell us what you’d like to see in our short circular economy survey.

Other local repair, borrow and reuse resources
With everyone’s involvement, we can turn Richmond upon Thames into a zero-waste community and ensure good items stay in circulation for longer.
Have an item in good condition you no longer want? Pass it on to others in the community who need them using local services like:
- Our new reuse drop-off point at Townmead Road
- The Richmond Furniture Scheme, who can collect furniture from your home
- TRAID, who can collect unwanted textiles, clothes, and shoes from your home
- Richmond Freegle, where you can give items to neighbours for free
Find out where you can donate, sell, share and repair items in the borough on pages 11 and 12 of our Resident Action Pack.
Did you know you can borrow over 30 common DIY and repair items at our Library of Things, rather than buying new? First-time borrowers can get 10% off with code TWICKENHAMLOT10.
