Free NPLQ lifeguard training available this summer

Throughout July and August, we're offering free lifeguard training to residents over 16.

Interested residents can apply to obtain their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification free of charge. It would normally cost £250 to £300.

Free places are available to those with availability to work on weekdays during term. In return, we'd like you to work for us as a fully qualified lifeguard.

95% of all UK pool lifeguards in the UK are qualified through the NPLQ which complies with industry requirements and is internationally recognised. The NPLQ qualification is a recruitment requirement for a wide array of leisure jobs.

NPLQ courses will be held on the following dates:

Pools on The Park

• Monday 15 to Friday 19 July, 9am to 6.30pm daily
• Monday 22 to Friday 26 July, 9am to 6.30pm daily
• Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August, 9am to 6.30pm daily
• Monday 19 to Friday 23 August, 9am to 6.30am daily

Teddington Pool and Fitness Centre

• Wednesday 31 July to Sunday 4 August, 8am to 5.30pm daily
• Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 August, 8am to 5.30pm daily
