What’s on offer

The health bus offers free health checks, stop smoking advice, winter vaccines, energy-saving tips, and support for people who care for someone.

Free health checks and advice

Get your blood pressure checked and questions about medications answered by a local pharmacist - plus plenty of valuable healthy living tips.

Stop smoking support tailored to you

Our friendly Stop Smoking Advisors offer free, personalised one-to-one consultations, nicotine replacement therapies, tips on managing withdrawal symptoms and triggers and even free vape kits paired with 12 weeks of behavioural support as part of the Swap to Stop Scheme (only for adults 18+ who smoke regularly).

Evidence shows that people are more likely to succeed with professional support - don’t go it alone! If you can't attend a bus, you can contact the Stop Smoking Service to discuss what support will work best for you.

Free winter vaccines

Eligible residents can get their flu and COVID-19 vaccines. Find out more information about winter vaccinations and if you’re eligible to receive them. Trained staff will be on hand to answer any vaccine related questions or discuss concerns in a safe, pressure-free environment. Only adult vaccines will be offered.

For children, speak to your GP or School Immunisation Service, or call 020 3903 3374 and visit the HRCH website.

The Kew Community Trust is also hosting vaccine clinics for those eligible every Thursday until 12 December from 9.30am to 12.30pm – no appointment needed.

Energy-saving tips from Thinking Works

With energy costs on everyone’s mind, don’t miss advice from Thinking Works, an award-winning local nonprofit. They’ll share practical ways to use less energy and save money this winter.

Support for carers

If you look after someone who needs support because of an illness or disability and cannot manage without your help, we are committed to supporting you in your caring role. Come and chat to a member of our Adult Social Care team about the local support available for you and the person you care for.
