TwickFolk
TwickFolk (previously called Twickenham Folk Club) was established in 1983. We are now one of the best-known and most highly-respected hosts of live acoustic, folk and Americana music in south east England. TwickFolk organises gigs on Sunday evenings, usually at the Cabbage Patch pub in London Road, Twickenham, featuring British and North American acoustic folk and roots-based music. The evening usually consists of a headline artist preceded by a support act or several floor spots. We aim to book the best quality acts across a broad range of different genres – traditional and contemporary.Occasionally TwickFolk organises singers' nights. These consist of either several performed floor spots or an unplugged singaround where everyone sits in a circle and those who want to sing or play an instrument can take turns to do so. Twickfolk is "surely, one of the capital’s best events for folk music" - Steve Price, YourTwickenham website Twickfolk is run on a not-for-profit basis, by a small group of volunteers.
