CCTV enquiries from insurance companies and solicitors
We can only process requests made directly by insurance companies or solicitors, to confirm that images are being used for lawful purposes.
There is an initial charge of £25 for this service.
You will need
To request footage, you will need to provide:
- Insurer/solicitor name and address
- Insurer/solicitor claim reference number
- Claim handler name
- Name of the client
- Time, date, and place of the incident
- Vehicle details (vehicle registration mark (VRM), make, model, colour)
- Accurate description of incident
- One form of identification for your client. You should ensure you have this document to hand to upload before you complete the request form
- A credit/debit card to make the payment online
Proposed charge structure
Charges apply when you request certain types of CCTV:
- Search only - £210
- Search and release of evidence up to one hour - £440
- Search and release of evidence between one and six hours - £510
- Search and release of evidence over six hours - £550
What happens next
We will search the footage and will let you know if we have captured the incident.
You will be provided a four-digit unique reference number.
If we find footage, you will be emailed a link to make an online payment. The charge to release the footage is £100 (exempt from VAT).
Once payment has been received, the footage will be available for 10 working days for you to download via your preferred method.
