CCTV enquiries from insurance companies and solicitors

We can only process requests made directly by insurance companies or solicitors, to confirm that images are being used for lawful purposes. 

Making a CCTV request

If this is the first time you are contacting us to request CCTV footage, you will need to email the following information to rdc@richmond.gov.uk:

  • Insurer/solicitor name and address 
  • Insurer/solicitor claim reference number 
  • Claim handler name 
  • Name of the client 
  • Time, date, and place of the incident 
  • Vehicle details (vehicle registration mark (VRM), make, model, colour)  
  • Accurate description of incident 

After contacting us to request footage you will receive an email with a unique TD Reference.

If you already have our TD Reference, along with the information mentioned above, please have the following items ready before making your payment online:

  • One form of identification for your client 
  • A credit/debit card to make the payment

Charge structure

Charges apply when you request certain types of CCTV:

  • Search only - £210
  • Search and release of evidence up to one hour - £440
  • Search and release of evidence between one and six hours - £510
  • Search and release of evidence over six hours - £550

What happens next

Complete the form below to submit details and make the initial search only request payment of £210.

We will search the footage and will let you know if we have captured the incident.

Once payment has been received, the footage will be available for 10 working days for you to download via your preferred method.
