Little Seedlings Gardening Club

Little Seedlings Gardening Club is a free children's gardening and nature club at Ham Library that meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 3.45pm. Additional sessions are held during school holidays and details of these sessions will be posted nearer the time.

Lego club

Explore your creativity with Lego and become a master builder! Join in the fun, design, and build amazing creations and try some Lego challenges. Bring along your enthusiasm and creativity and get ready to show off your creations.

Children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Open to children of all ages.

LEGO fun at Ham Library

Ready for an “Everything is Awesome” day?

Come to Ham Library to enjoy an afternoon of LEGO building with a screening of The LEGO Movie while you build. 

This event is run in association with the Friends of Ham Library. Suitable for families and children of all ages.

Teen Author event - Nathanael Lessore

In celebration of Cover Story, Richmond Libraries’ awesome annual pick of the best teen reads for 11- to 14-year-olds, author Nathanael Lessore will be talking about his latest books, Steady for This and King of Nothing.

Nathanael’s hilarious, unique, and engaging writing has earned him nominations for the Spark! Book Awards and the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing, and we can’t wait for his visit to Richmond!

Join Nathanael for a lively talk and Q&A, followed by a book signing.

Chess and strategy games club

Develop your skills and make new friends!

Discover the exciting world of chess and other strategy games such as Connect 4, Chinese Checkers, Othello and more, under the guidance of professional chess teachers.

Children of all levels and abilities are welcome, and mentoring is available if desired. Suitable for children aged 7-16.

The session on 16 November has been cancelled due to repair works taking place in Twickenham Library.

Story time

Each library holds a weekly story time for under 6s. They are free and booking is not required.

Baby Rhyme Time

These free baby bounce and rhyme sessions are for very young children accompanied by adults.

Come join in the fun with songs, rhymes and stories - all are welcome.

Chatterbooks

If you live in the borough (or attend school here) and like books, read on! At these popular groups for 8 to 10 year olds we chat about books, play games and do quizzes. It is a great way to discover new authors and make new booky friends.

Chatterbooks groups meet once a month after school (term time only) and last about an hour.

Teen reading group

Register your interest in our new monthly 11-14's book group!

Join our teen reading group to discover fantastic new books and authors, write your own short stories and poetry, make new friends and get to grips with graphic novels and manga.

Richmond CoderDojo

Richmond CoderDojo is a free coding club open to young people aged 7 to 17 with sessions on Scratch, HTML, Python, and using micro:bits.
