Apply for an allotment

Our waiting lists are open to new applicants. 

Use this form to add your name to an allotment waiting list. Our allotments are available to residents of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames only. Residents must be aged 18 years and over.

Before you start

Please ensure you have read and considered the following before you apply.

Waiting list

The waiting list shows the number of plots on each site, the number of new plot holders starting over the past three years, the date of application for the next person to be contacted when a plot is available, and the total number of applicants waiting for each site. This list is updated twice a year in spring and autumn.

You may add your name to the waiting list for the one site that you are interested in. Please do not make multiple applications – we do check applications and we will not accept any applications from people who try to do this.

We will contact you when your name is near the top of the list.

Commitment required

A well-maintained plot of 5 rods or 126 square metres will take approximately six hours care each week, more in some months, less in others.

Consider the site

Visit your preferred site to chat to a committee member and other plot holders. Get a feel for the place. Consider your travelling time, ease of access and carriage of any equipment or supplies.

Terms and conditions

All plot holders must adhere to the terms and conditions to ensure the appropriate use of each site, and the enduring harmony with fellow plot holders and surrounding neighbours.

What happens next

You will receive a confirmation email upon submission of the form, please keep this safe and retain the date of your application for future enquiries.

We will add your name to the waiting list for your selected allotment site.

Keep us updated

Please remember to update us on any change in contact details - applicants that cannot be contacted will be removed from the waiting list.

You must contact us if you no longer wish to have an allotment. This will allow us to have a more accurate picture of our waiting lists.
