What's on offer

The health bus offers free health and blood pressure checks and stop smoking advice.

You can also visit our health bus for:

  • Flu and COVID vaccinations
  • General health advice

Flu and COVID vaccinations

Stop by and get a free flu and COVID-19 vaccination, no appointment required.

Getting vaccinated is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and others, helping reduce the severity of illness and lowering the risk of hospitalisation.

Find out if you’re eligible for a free Flu or COVID-19 vaccination by searching ‘flu vaccine’ and ‘COVID-19 vaccine’ on the NHS website.

Free NHS Health Check

The NHS Health Check is a free 20-minute check-up of your overall health, for those aged 40 to 74. Eligibility criteria apply.

It can tell you whether you're at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and stroke.

NHS health checks are only available at Kneller Gardens.

Free blood pressure checks

Get your blood pressure checked and questions about medications answered by a local pharmacist, plus plenty of valuable healthy living tips.

Stop smoking support tailored to you

Our friendly Stop Smoking Service offers advice, support, and access to stop smoking medications. As part of the Swap to Stop Scheme we also offer free vape kits with supplies for up to 12 weeks.

Evidence shows that people are more likely to succeed with professional support - don’t go it alone! If you can't attend a bus, you can contact the Stop Smoking Service to discuss what support will work best for you.
