Weekly activities

A range of weekly activities take place across the borough.

Adult dance

Fun and energetic dance sessions with Anne-Marie from Combination Dance which will increase fitness, mobility, self-confidence and teamwork. Performers will learn choreographed dance routines to a variety of music genre.

Activity details

  • Dates: Mondays from 6 January to 31 March
  • Time: 6 to 7pm
  • Venue: Teddington Sports Centre
  • Price: £56 per person for the term

Football

Supported by Kew Park Rangers (KPR), a local Charter Standard Community Club, footballers aged 16 years+ practice a variety of techniques and skills to develop their agility, balance and coordination. KPR encourage players to join in competitively and socially. A team play in the Surrey Football For All League.

Parents and carers are welcome to stay, watch or take part.

  • Time: 11.15am to 12.15pm
  • Age: 16+
  • Venue: Whitton Sports Sport and Fitness Centre, Percy Road, Whitton TW2 6JW

Multi-sports

Delivered by Brentford Community Sports Trust. Come along and join in with a variety of different sports and exercise activities. These sessions are fun and engaging with the opportunity to try lots of different activities.

Parents and carers are welcome to stay, watch or take part.

  • Dates: Saturdays from 11 January to 5 April 2025 (no session 22 February)
  • Time: 12.15 to 1.15pm
  • Age: 16+
  • Venue: Whitton Sports Sport and Fitness Centre, Percy Road, Whitton TW2 6JW
  • Price: £4 per person per session

Canoeing

Canoeing sessions with Lesbury Watersports Centre. A great opportunity to try out a variety of different boats and enjoy freedom on the water. 

Canoeing will restart in spring/summer 2025.

All ability cycling sessions

This activity is designed for people with learning, physical and sensory disabilities, and their families to enjoy cycling. After being shown how to use the adapted cycles, we are offering the chance for a short ride to explore the park and linked  green spaces.

Bikeworks will bring a range of adapted cycles, including tricycles, side-by-side cycles for two or more people, wheelchair platform cycles and go-kart style recumbent cycles.

Wheelchair basketball

Supported by Richmond Knights Basketball Club, athletes learn how to play wheelchair basketball using games and drills to teach technique. The session is adapted for all abilities using specialist equipment. Sports wheelchairs are supplied. Opportunities for competitive games are available.
