Apply for a Car Club parking permit

Car Club parking permits cost £372, except for Car Tax Band A vehicles, which are free of charge. All permits are valid for 12 months.

Before you start

We request payment with your application to ensure that we can process successful applications as quickly as possible.

Should your application be refused we will let you know why. If you paid by cheque or postal order, these will not be cashed and will be destroyed securely. If you paid by BACS payment, this amount will be credited directly back to your bank account.

Your allowance

There is no limit to the number of Car Club parking permits you can apply for. However, we will assess your requirements and reserve the right to offer an alternative, if that is more suitable. Permits are valid for 12 months.

Check your eligibility

To qualify for a Car Club parking permits, your business must be a member of the Car Club scheme.

What you will need

Before you begin your application you will need to ensure you:

• are eligible and have read the legal guidance;
• have proof of Car Club scheme membership;
• have proof to show you either own, or are authorised to drive the vehicle
• have proof of the date of vehicle's first registration and engine CO2 emissions (for Car Tax Band A applications only)
• have the correct payment (cheque, postal order or BACS transfer).

Accepted proofs of Car Club scheme membership

You must include a copy of the following:

• Confirmation letter to show your business is an approved Car Club scheme participant

Accepted proofs of vehicle ownership

You must include a copy of the following:

• Vehicle Registration Document (include both sides)

Accepted proofs of Band A vehicle

You must include a copy of one of the following:

• Vehicle Registration Document (include both sides)
• DVLA website printout
• Vehicle manufacturer handbook

Submit your application and pay

To apply you will need to download and complete an application form (pdf, 110 KB) and return along with your proofs to: Parking Permits, PO Box 466, Twickenham TW1 9JT. Only send in copies of proofs as these will not be returned, they will be securely destroyed.

We also request payment with your application to ensure that we can process successful applications as quickly as possible.

Paying by cheque or postal order

Please make cheques or postal orders payable to ‘LBRuT’. Bounced cheques will invalidate any permit(s) issued and will incur a £10 administration fee.

Receipt

Your permit letter will include a printed tear-off receipt.

What happens next

If your application is successful, you should receive your permit/s by post within 10 working days. If you have not received your permit/s after this time, you can contact us on 020 8891 1411 during office hours, or email parkingpermits@richmond.gov.uk.

When you get your new permit/s
