Blue Badges
A Blue Badge is a parking permit which allows people with certain disabilities to park closer to where they need to go.
Apply or renew
Applications and renewals for Blue Badges are made online via GOV.UK. You can also apply by post.
Depending on the criteria you are applying under, you may need to visit us for a mobility assessment. View full eligibility criteria and details about the application and renewal process.
There is separate information for organisations applying for Blue Badges.
Using your badge
You should be aware of where you can park using your Blue Badge. There are also some places you cannot park.
Blue Badge holders can apply for a disabled persons parking bay outside their home, although these are not reserved for an individual's exclusive use.
Change your details
If you have moved house or changed name, you must let us know so we can update the details on your Blue Badge.
Lost, stolen or damaged
You can report the loss or damage of your badge to us and apply for a replacement. We aim to send replacement Blue Badges within 7 to 10 working days.
Cancel your badge
If you no longer need or qualify for a Blue Badge, you will need to post it back to us at:
Supported Travel team
44 York Street
Twickenham
TW1 3BZ
Include a brief note to explain your reason for cancelling. For added security please also cut the card in half before posting it.
Report fraud or misuse
Blue Badge fraud is on the increase and undermines the integrity of the scheme.
If you suspect that a Blue Badge is being used illegally we would encourage you to report the fraud to our Investigation Team.
All referrals will be treated in the strictest confidence.
