Services over Christmas

Council opening hours

Council offices will be closed on Wednesday 25 December 2024, Thursday 26 December 2024, and Wednesday 1 January 2025.

The telephone lines and Customer Centre will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The Customer Centre doors will close for the last customer at 2.30pm.

For the majority of services you can report, apply or pay online.

Waste and recycling collections

We will be running a revised collection schedule from Wednesday 25 December 2024 to Saturday 4 January 2025.

Bulky waste

Bulky waste collections will be suspended between Monday 23 December 2024 and Friday 3 January 2025.

Garden waste

Garden waste collections will be suspended from Monday 6 to Friday 17 January 2025. Collections will resume on Monday 20 January.

Waste and recycling centres

Townmead Road Reuse and Recycling Centre is open throughout the Christmas period, except for Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 December.

The site will close at 2pm on Tuesday 24 December and Tuesday 31 December. The last available booking slot for these dates will be for 1 to 1.30pm.

Our Christmas tree collection service will run from Monday 6 to Friday 17 January 2025, on the garden waste collection day for your street.
